چکیده

An algorithm or an authentication system for a loW-cost authenticating device such as a radio frequency identi?cation (RFID) tag, or a sensor node are provided, by Which authen tication is processed e?iciently Without requiring a random number. A claimant entity attempting to be authenticated and a verifying entity to authenticate the claimant entity, share a plurality of secret keys so that authentication is processed as the claimant entity responds to a challenge by the verifying entity. The verifying entity and the claimant entity perform authentication using Learning Parity With Noise (LPN) prob lem. The claimant entity may generate an encrypted value for use in the authentication, using a basic Boolean Exclusive OR and a logical AND operations.

A Strong RFID Mutual Authentication Protocol Based on a Lightweight Public-key Cryptosystem

RFID is a key technology that can be used to create the ubiquitous society. However, this technology may suffer from some serious threats such as privacy disclosure. In order to solve these secure problems we propose a strong mutual authentication protocol based on a lightweight public-key cryptosystem: NTRU. The protocol assures the confidentiality of the RFID system by encrypting the messages...

Ubiquitous Authentication: Definitions, Attacks, and Constructions

We propose a new approach to the construction of provably secure secret-key authentication protocols for lightweight pervasive devices. We specify a flexible model that captures existing security definitions and can be extended modularly to capture additional protocol features or adversarial capabilities for specific application requirements. Our model allows for statefulness, which was not cap...

GSLHA: Group-based Secure Lightweight Handover Authentication Protocol for M2M Communication

Machine to machine (M2M) communication, which is also known as machine type communication (MTC), is one of the most fascinating parts of mobile communication technology and also an important practical application of the Internet of Things. The main objective of this type of communication, is handling massive heterogeneous devices with low network overheads and high security guarantees. Hence, v...

Warbler: A Lightweight Pseudorandom Number Generator for EPC C1 Gen2 Passive RFID Tags

A pseudorandom number generator is an important component for implementing security functionalities on RFID tags. Most previous proposals focus on true random number generators that are usually inefficient for low-cost tags in terms of power consumption, area, and throughput. In this contribution, we propose a lightweight pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) for EPC Class-1 Generation-2 (EPC C1...

Improvement of Two Lightweight RFID Authenti- cation Protocols

Recently, lightweight RFID authentication protocol has been investigated due to the awareness of practical requirements on individual privacy, system security and resource limitation of low cost tags. Research community demonstrates major advancements in this interesting research area of designing a robust access control and information retrieval mechanism for RFID system. In 2008, two well-stu...
